Eve Cornelious - jazz vocalist


Eve Cornelious - the singer with outstanding musical career - has born Born in Newark, New Jersey. In her route leaf the whole world is already noted. Tours across Europe, Japan, USA and Cuba – passed with the invariable notice. The festival list of the singer looks impressively: North Sea, Monterey, Montreaux, Newport, Middleheim, and the JVC Jazz Festival at Lincoln Center.

One of few jazz vocalists with the unpredictable musical ingenuity, met with the most enthusiastic approval of musical critics worldwide. She has recorded and/or performed with Ramsey Lewis, Chucho Valdez, Jon Hendricks, Mulgrew Miller, Norman Connors, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Winard Harper, Javon Jackson, Mark Whitfield, Alvin Atkinson, Chip Crawford, Roy Hargrove and a host of others.

Armed with three bachelors degrees, business management from Hampton University; the general music and jazz performance degrees from North Carolina Central University (NCCU), she is an impassioned educator and has taught music to all ages around the world. Appointed the first ‘jazz vocal’ teacher in North Carolina at East Carolina University, Eve Cornelious continually strives to create, present and promote jazz music through concerts, festivals, clinics and academic residencies.
